Packed cords
Another exposed spine from another of Keith Smith's books. This one is a packed cord sewing. Each cord is packed four times. The middle cord should have really only had two or three packs and puckers a bit as a result. Next time I will also leave the cords longer so that I have a bit more to grip when I thread the cover on. Unlike tapes, packed cords cannot be adjusted once the sewing is done.
Compare the top cord (which is actually the middle cord) and
the bottom cord. The bottom cord, which is thicker, looks
better to me than the middle cord.
